dining room possibilities

October 5th, 2008

well, i figure since i am dressing for the vacation i am taking in two years, and researching hotels now for that same vacation, that i might as well continue to live in the future and start decorating my future home.

i think i will start with the dining room….the Saarinen table has always been my favorite table of all time, either marble top or the walnut top, I love the idea of this really clean modern table paired with really ornate or vintage or mix match chairs…in this case a take on a Louis chair by Moooi. Add to this mix a long time favorite, dishware by Sarah Cihat and lighting by Droog Design.  Now, the wallpaper and the rug I actually already own,  the wallpaper is by Flavor Paper and the rug by Thomas Paul.

tis’ the season…

May 11th, 2008

spring.  spring cleaning.  spring growth.  spring rejuvenation.  spring is such a hopeful time of year.  hopeful that winter really is going away (at least for a little while) hopeful about all of the impending fun, adventure, travel that awaits you.  spring is also an inspiring time to give your living and work spaces a refresh.  simple touches can really make an impact and it doesn’t have to cost you much either.  I often rotate wall art in my space.  i look for things that are currently fun or inspiring or beautiful to me and then 3-6 months down the road when i am looking for more inspiration, i begin the hunt again and rotate my art!

these DECOR-A-BOARDS are perfect for a quick refresh in virtually ANY room of your home…and..they are only $38!  These wood remnant (think green!) boards have painted images on them and are 13.5″ tall x 11″ wide.  click here to order: decor boards.
