Cleveland Museum of art is….spooky?!?!

October 24th, 2009

Well, I don’t know about “spooky” per se, but apparently a little “kooky”.

While fishing around the internet challenging myself to find things to do in Cleveland that may be under the radar (no shortage of things to do by the way), I somehow stumbled upon an exciting portal in theCleveland Museum of Art’s website!  My friend, a research library at the museum’s Ingalls Library never even told me about this site which makes it feel even more secretive.

The “Attic”, is a way to discover objects from the Museums collection in the setting of say, a spooky attic of a victorian home.  It started out with items from the Museum’s Arts and Crafts collection (which were on display in an exhibit several years back that I went to) and has since grown to include Ancient Egyptian objects as well.

i just love the notion of an institution as prestigious as the Cleveland Museum of Art, having a little fun…

check out the “attic” here.
